The ARC-8050T3-12R offers a 12Gb MiniSAS expansion port that allows you to Instantly grow your storage. Effortlessly add additional cost-effective 12G SAS Expander JBOD Units, up to 256 drives total! Or convert any existing MiniSAS expander JBOD storage to be use with any Thunderbolt 3 enabled host.

Enabling an Easy-to-Manage Storage Utility

Configuration and monitoring can be managed either through the LCD control panel, Thunderbolt interface or LAN port. The ArcSAP graphical user interface is designed for quick managing and configuring the ARC-8050T3-12R RAID storage. The intelligent cooling continuously adapts to environmental conditions by automatically controlling the speed of the cooling fans but still keeping a low-noise working environment

Enterprise Class Data Availability and Security

The ARC-8050T3-12R supports Hardware RAID 5 for uninterrupted data availability in a single drive failure event or RAID 6 for dual drive failure safeguard. Hot-Swappable drive bays provides zero downtime during a drive failure event. Intelligent power On/Off function powers the ARC-8050T3-12R unit in unison with the host computer during startup and shut-down for extra level of data integrity. Board-level hardware encryption manages all drives attached to the ARC-8050T3-12R without impacting the performance for higher levels of security and protection.

Controller-Level Hardware Encryption

	Host independent real-time controller-based hardware encryption without impacting the performance of the ARC-8050T3-12R RAID storage and can implement on any kind of hard drive that is transparent to the user, the operating system, and applications.

	The Areca encryption function secures a sensitive, mission-critical volume's data from unauthorized access or modification in the event of drive theft, as well as more routine activities such as the return of defective drives for servicing, the decommission or repurposing of drives. Local key management in the controller is designed to protect data from security breaches with minimal cost and complexity. Users can use the ARC-8050T3 RAID storage API code to design its own key management utility. Supports 128-bit and 256-bit encryption keys, AES (a key size of 128 and 256 bits) or password (a variable key size)
