Protected Quad Interface Storage Enclosure

The Areca ARC-5040 provides content creators a high-performance, true quad-interface, 8-bay RAID storage solution for every type of digital asset. Equipped with 3Gbit eSATA, FireWire 800, USB 3.0/2.0 and iSCSI connectivity.  It also features an internal RAID controller, solid, all-aluminum enclosure with (8) hot-swappable hard disk drive modules supporting SATA 3.5 or 2.5" HDD/SSD's up to 4TB drives. Intelligent dual-fan technology, keeping it quiet and continuously adapts to environmental conditions by automatically controlling the speed of the cooling fans and keeping an optimal overall drive temperature. The internal RAID controller supports RAID 0 for maximum performance or RAID 5/6 for data protection with multiple volume support. RAID configuration is accomplished via a web GUI in your Mac or PC or through the simple LCD display. The ARC-5040 small footprint and portability make it perfect for mobile or on-set environments where high capacity and RAID protection is important.

Supports multi-steam SD, HDV, DVCPRO HD, Apple ProRes 422 and uncompressed HD video workflows.
